Bearing version number 5.1.0.118, this release addresses a key functionality concern reported by early adopters and introduces welcome user interface improvements. This wearable, which debuted in May 2025 as a direct competitor to devices like the Apple Watch Ultra 2, continues to receive active support from Huawei.
Official Activation of Heart Rate Variation (HRV)
A primary highlight of this 49.20MB update is the full activation of the Heart Rate Variation (HRV) feature. While HRV was a promoted capability of the Watch Fit 4 Pro from its launch, some initial users observed that the tool wasn’t entirely functional. With software version 5.1.0.118, the HR app on the smartwatch now allows for real-time HRV measurements. Furthermore, the update introduces new measurement animations and a detailed log within the Huawei Health app, enabling users to track their heart rate and recovery heart rate post-workout.

Beyond the HRV enhancement, Huawei has also focused on refining the user experience. The release notes indicate an “enhanced user interface (UI)” for the Heart Rate app, promising a more informative and intuitive display. Phased Global Rollout Underway

Users in certain Asian and European markets have already begun receiving the update. As is typical with such rollouts, availability will gradually expand to other regions.
