Garmin, a leading brand in smartwatches, is on the verge of refreshing its lineup of golf smartwatches, according to a well-known leaker. The upcoming release, known as the Garmin Approach S70, is set to succeed the popular Approach S62 and will be available in multiple sizes and color options.

Renowned leaker Roland Quandt, in collaboration with WinFuture, has provided insightful details about the forthcoming Garmin smartwatches, including the highly anticipated Approach S series model designed specifically for golfers. It’s worth noting that Garmin is also preparing to update its Epix Gen 2 and Fenix 7 series, which will be covered separately.

According to Quandt, the next addition to the Approach S series will be the Approach S70, which is further reinforced by leaked promotional images. While Quandt hasn’t obtained specific specifications or pricing details for the Approach S70, the revealed photos confirm various aspects, including its design evolution compared to last year’s Approach S62. Notably, the Approach S70 features a slimmer outer bezel, showcasing Garmin’s commitment to modernizing its design. The three-button hardware configuration remains unchanged, as does the presence of Garmin’s four-pogo pin-style power adapter instead of wireless charging.

Garmin continues to offer the black and red color combination from the Approach S62, maintaining this option for the 47 mm case size. However, it seems that Garmin will also release a smaller 42 mm version of the Approach S70, available in white/rose gold and grey/green finishes, providing users with more variety and customization options.

Price & Release Date:

In terms of pricing, it is presumed that the larger Approach S70 will retail for a similar price to its predecessor, which is currently sold by Garmin for $499.99. Following Garmin’s pricing strategies for other models like the Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 265S, it is expected that the 42 mm option of the Approach S70 will be approximately $50 cheaper than its 47 mm counterpart. Quandt anticipates that Garmin will announce all the Approach S70 models either by the end of this month or at the latest, by the beginning of June.

Overall:

With the imminent release of the Approach S70, Garmin is once again poised to impress golfers and technology enthusiasts alike. The new smartwatch is expected to offer enhanced features, stylish designs, and a user-friendly experience. As the official announcement draws near, the anticipation for Garmin’s Approach S70 builds, promising an exciting addition to the brand’s acclaimed range of smartwatches.
