Amazfit Balance 2 Receives Blood Pressure Monitoring in Limited Rollout

0

The Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch is currently undergoing a phased rollout of a new Blood Pressure app for some users. This highly anticipated feature, which allows for the measurement and tracking of systolic and diastolic blood pressure, has been integrated with the latest software update, version 3.16.0.3. This update also introduces an Ultramarathon workout mode, alongside other system enhancements.

While a welcome addition for many, the blood pressure monitoring tool is not yet universally available. Currently, the feature is limited to specific regions, including Singapore, India, and Brazil. Notably, users in Europe and North America do not have access to this functionality at this time. For those with access, the app guides users through the measurement process, advising a tight wristband and a flat arm position for a 30-second reading.

Accuracy, Disclaimers, and Other Updates

It’s important to note that the accuracy of the collected blood pressure data from the Amazfit Balance 2 remains unconfirmed. Furthermore, Zepp Health, the parent company of Amazfit, explicitly states that the device “shall not be used for clinical decision-making and treatment.” This emphasizes that the feature is intended for personal tracking rather than medical diagnosis. Beyond the blood pressure monitoring, the 3.16.0.3 update, which began rolling out in mid-July 2025, also includes optimizations for the digital crown and reduced lag in the Control Center, enhancing the overall user experience. Zepp Health has not disclosed any immediate plans to expand the blood pressure monitoring feature to other regions.
