Huawei has started sending out a new software update for its latest smartwatches, the Huawei Watch GT 5 and the GT 5 Pro. The new version, labeled as 6.0.0.32(SP6C00M07), focuses on making the daily user experience a bit smoother.

While it is not a massive overhaul, it brings a highly requested tweak to how the watch handles your morning routine.

A smarter way to snooze

The biggest change in this update is all about the Alarm app. Huawei has added a new feature that lets you customize your alarm delays.

Instead of forcing you into a standard snooze time, you can now choose exactly how much extra time you need before the alarm goes off again. Once set, the watch will ring at your initial wake-up time and then repeat perfectly according to your personal delay. It is a small change that offers a lot more flexibility for heavy sleepers.

Better stability and gradual rollout

Aside from the alarm upgrade, the tech giant also tweaked the background system. The update patch notes mention that it optimizes system stability in certain situations, meaning the watch should run smoother with fewer random glitches.

As usual with Huawei updates, this release is rolling out in phases. A few lucky users have already spotted the download on their wrists, but if you don’t see it yet, don’t panic. It should reach all global devices within the next few days. You can check for it manually through the Huawei Health app on your phone.
