Amazfit is making some massive changes to its smartwatch lineup. A new video leak from tech channel PreTriathlon has revealed that the company is launching its next-generation lifestyle and fitness smartwatches: the Amazfit Balance 3 and a brand-new, premium Amazfit Balance 3 Ultra.
While the previous Balance models were known as everyday lifestyle watches, Amazfit is shifting gears. This new generation features a more aggressive, sporty design and a heavy focus on “hybrid training” — specifically targeting athletes who do hybrid fitness racing like Hyrox, combining running, resistance, and strength training.
The Big Additions: Balance 3 vs. Balance 3 Ultra
For the first time, Amazfit is bringing a super-premium “Ultra” tier to the Balance lineup. The leaks reveal key differences in materials, pricing, and hardware across the models:
-
Amazfit Balance 3 (Stainless Steel): The entry-level model features a stainless steel case, weighs 62 grams, and offers up to 21 days of battery life. It will retail for €349.
-
Amazfit Balance 3 (Titanium): A lighter version featuring a titanium case that drops the weight to 55 grams. It will retail for €449.
-
Amazfit Balance 3 Ultra: The flagship model features a full Grade 5 titanium case and a massive 780 mAh battery, pushing the battery life up to an incredible 30 days. It weighs 57 grams and will retail for €599.
Bright Screens and Better Hardware
Both models are getting a major hardware boost. The watches feature a 1.5-inch display, but the screen brightness has been upgraded to a massive 3,000 nits, making it incredibly easy to read in direct sunlight. To protect the screen during intense workouts, Amazfit is using sapphire glass.
Other hardware updates include:
-
Dual-frequency GPS with support for six satellite systems.
-
Faster, smoother offline map navigation.
-
A built-in LED flashlight that supports white light, red light, and an SOS emergency mode.
-
The upcoming Zepp OS 6, which brings a more complete, analytical user interface.
Built for Hyrox and Hybrid Athletes
The biggest changes are on the software side. Amazfit wants to help athletes balance strength, cardio, and recovery without overtraining.
The Balance 3 series introduces a new metric called Hybrid Research (working alongside BioCheck), which combines your daily stress, sleep, and training loads to give you an accurate picture of your body’s current capacity.
For Hyrox competitors, the watch will feature built-in race preparation tools. You can select specific race locations (like Barcelona or Berlin), and the watch will automatically load the exact running distances, race zones, and transitions to help you plan and pace your event.
With these changes, Amazfit is moving away from basic step-tracking and aiming directly at serious, data-driven endurance and strength athletes.
