Zepp Health has officially shared its plan to bring “HybridCharge” to several Amazfit smartwatches. This new update, which begins rolling out in June 2026, aims to give users a much clearer picture of their daily energy and recovery levels.
What is HybridCharge?
Most smartwatches try to guess how tired you are by tracking things like your heart rate, sleep quality, and workouts. However, computer sensors do not know everything. They miss out on daily life context—like a stressful day at the office or a bad night of travel.
HybridCharge changes this by mixing automatic sensor data with human input. It builds on the company’s older “BioCharge” feature, but now allows users to manually type in extra details. You can log “Life Load” events (everyday stress) and your “RPE” (how hard a workout actually felt to you).
The only question is whether regular users will actually take the time to log this extra information every day.
The Update Timeline
The big rollout starts this month, with the majority of chosen watches getting the feature immediately. However, keep in mind that software updates usually launch in slow phases depending on where you live in the world.
| Amazfit Watch Model | Expected Update Month |
| Cheetah 2 Pro | June 2026 |
| Cheetah Ultra | June 2026 |
| Balance 2 | June 2026 |
| T-Rex 3 / T-Rex 3 Pro / T-Rex Ultra 2 | June 2026 |
| Active 3 Premium | June 2026 |
| Bip Max | June / July 2026 |
| Active Max | July / August 2026 |
| Original Balance | Late 2026 |
The biggest surprise on the list is the original Amazfit Balance. It is an older model, so it is great news for current owners that Zepp Health is still supporting it with new features later this year.
Who is Leaving Empty-Handed?
While many watches are getting upgraded, a few notable models were completely left off the schedule. If you own the Active 2 or the Bip 6, Zepp Health has not included your watch in this rollout plan.
The Big Picture for Amazfit
This move shows that Zepp Health wants to focus heavily on fitness recovery and daily life tracking rather than just counting steps.
It also leaves us watching what happens next with their brand-new operating system, Zepp OS 6. Right now, that software is exclusive to the premium Balance 3 and Balance Ultra. Seeing how many older watches get HybridCharge will give us a good hint about how long Amazfit plans to support its older hardware in the future.
