I Spotted it in the FCC, Now it’s Here: Amazfit Launches the Cheetah 2 Ultra Flagship

If you’ve been following my updates lately, you know I’ve been deep in the trenches of the FCC and IMDA databases. I was the first to spot a new mystery model (A2441) making its way through certification, and I even caught a glimpse of it on a retailer’s site before it was taken down.

Today, the cat is officially out of the bag: Amazfit has launched the Cheetah 2 Ultra.

Why This Matters

For those of us who track these things, the Cheetah 2 Ultra isn’t just a minor refresh. It’s a serious “pro-level” upgrade to the Cheetah 2 Pro that launched just a month ago. Seeing the official specs confirms exactly why this device needed its own filing—it’s a powerhouse.

What’s Under the Hood?

Now that the official details are out, we can see how much of a leap this is:

  • The Battery is a Beast: This was the biggest surprise for me. They’ve swapped the 440 mAh battery from the Pro for a massive 780 mAh unit. That gives it a 30-day battery life in smartwatch mode or 60 hours of full GPS tracking. For trail runners and ultra-marathoners, that is a game-changer.

  • Stunning New Display: The screen has grown to 1.5 inches, and it is incredibly bright at 3,000 nits. I’ve always said visibility is key for outdoor gear, and this should be readable in the harshest midday sun.

  • Premium Build: It’s wrapped in a Grade 5 titanium alloy body. It feels rugged and high-end, exactly what you’d expect from an “Ultra” model.

  • Boosted Tech: We’re looking at a faster HS3s CPU and 64GB of storage, which is double what we usually see. Everything from the UI to the 180+ workout modes should run much smoother.

My Take

It’s always satisfying to see a “leak” turn into a reality. The Cheetah 2 Ultra looks like it’s aimed directly at the high-end endurance market. At €599, it’s positioned as a premium choice, but with that titanium build and massive battery, it’s clearly bringing the fight to the top-tier competition.

I’m glad I kept my eyes on those regulatory filings—the Cheetah 2 Ultra is definitely the one to watch this year.
