The trail for the next big Amazfit release is getting hot. After my initial discovery of the A2441 in the FCC filings, I’ve been tracking its progress through international regulatory bodies, and I can now confirm it has cleared the IMDA (Singapore) and SIRIMI (Malaysia) databases.

While the FCC often hides the “marketing” names behind cryptic model numbers, the IMDA listing has pulled back the curtain, explicitly naming the device the Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra.

The Multi-Database Sightings

Having this watch appear simultaneously in the FCC, IMDA, and SIRIM is the “final whistle” before a global rollout. Here is how the paper trail looks right now:

  • IMDA (Singapore): Explicitly confirms the “Cheetah 2 Ultra” marketing name.

  • SIRIMI (Malaysia): Confirms the A2441 is ready for the Southeast Asian market.

  • FCC (USA): Where the technical application was first submitted on April 8, 2026.

Design Update: The Circular Verdict

At the beginning, I speculated that the “Ultra” might signal a move toward a square form factor to maximize data density for runners. However, I’ve managed to dig up the actual hardware photos from the filing, and the mystery is solved: the Cheetah 2 Ultra is a circular watch.

It maintains the classic round aesthetic of the Cheetah series but appears to sport a more aggressive, ruggedized bezel compared to the Cheetah 2 Pro. This isn’t just a software upgrade; the physical housing is built for the “Ultra” name.

The Countdown to May 10th

We currently have no official specs on the table—no battery mAh, no sensor confirmation, and no word on LTE. However, the clock is ticking. The Confidentiality Release date on the filings is set for May 10, 2026.

In just a few days, the “gag order” lifts, and we should get a full look at the user manual and internal teardown. Given that it’s already cleared SIRIMI and IMDA, don’t be surprised if Amazfit drops an official announcement the moment that confidentiality expires.

Stay tuned—I’ll be refreshing the databases on the 10th to see exactly what’s under the hood of this new circular beast.
