The rugged wearable ecosystem is getting a major polish as Amazfit begins the global rollout of firmware version 4.2.4.3. Specifically designed for the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro, this update focuses on refining the navigation experience, expanding third-party sensor compatibility, and tightening up the user interface to prevent accidental data loss during intense activities.
Smoother Navigation and Map Enhancements

One of the most immediate improvements users will notice is in the Map app and workout track pages. The developers have optimized rendering performance, which translates to significantly smoother map rotation when you change directions on the trail.
Furthermore, the default navigation view has been updated to “Advance up.” This means your on-screen route will now automatically align with your physical movement, making it much easier to orient yourself in unfamiliar terrain without having to mentally rotate the map.
Safety Measures and Precision Tracking

To address the common “fat-finger” issue during high-intensity training, Amazfit has introduced a long-press requirement to pause or end a workout. This simple UI change ensures that a sweaty sleeve or an accidental bump won’t prematurely stop your tracking session.
For competitive athletes, the HYROX Race mode now officially supports Stryd sensors. By integrating Stryd’s high-fidelity power and pace data, runners can view real-time metrics on their wrist and review them later in their workout history for deeper post-race analysis.
Smarter Screenshots and Unit Logic
The screenshot utility has received a practical “offline” upgrade for Android users. You can now capture screen images even when your phone is out of range. The watch will locally store up to 20 screenshots, syncing them to your device once the connection is restored.
Additionally, navigation logic for imperial units has been refined for better readability:
-
Under 0.1 mile: The watch will display the distance in feet for micro-accuracy.
-
Over 0.1 mile: The display switches back to miles for better long-distance planning.
Rollout Schedule and System Stability
Alongside these features, version 4.2.4.3 includes several “under the hood” fixes designed to increase overall system stability and improve the accuracy of turn-by-turn alerts.
As is standard with Amazfit releases, this update is being deployed in phased waves. While some users may see the notification in the Zepp app immediately, others may need to wait a few days before the firmware becomes available for their specific region.
