Xiaomi has officially pulled back the curtain on its newest wearable, the Redmi Watch 6. Positioning itself as the direct successor to the budget-friendly Watch 5, the new smartwatch brings a handful of design refinements while maintaining the familiar display size. The Redmi line is known for delivering a full suite of features at an accessible price point, a trend the Watch 6 appears to be continuing.

Refined Aesthetics and Button Changes

Official imagery suggests Xiaomi has implemented some notable design tweaks. Most prominent among these changes is the introduction of an additional button on the right side of the casing, situated just below the existing crown. This revised layout bears a striking resemblance to the current, non-Ultra models of the Apple Watch. The exact functionality of this new button remains a mystery, but it adds a new element to the watch’s interface.

Display Specifications Remain Consistent

While the physical design sees an update, the display’s core specifications are held over from the previous model. Xiaomi confirms the Redmi Watch 6 will feature a 2.07-inch screen, identical in size to its predecessor. New teasers have further clarified that this will be an AMOLED panel, ensuring vibrant colors and deep blacks. The company is also emphasizing a sleek design with thin, 2 mm bezels surrounding the display.

Premium Build and Color Options

The new smartwatch is built to be both slim and refined, with Xiaomi highlighting a commitment to durability. The device’s mid-frame is constructed from “high-strength aluminum,” which is touted for its robustness. Buyers will have a choice of three distinct colorways: Bright Moon Silver, Elegant Black, and Mist Blue. In terms of power, the battery life remains unchanged from the Watch 5, promising up to 24 hours of runtime on a single charge.

Anticipating Full Technical Details

While the Watch 6’s exterior and display are now known, the full roster of technical specifications is still under wraps. For context, its predecessor included features such as 5-system GNSS for advanced location tracking, Bluetooth calling support, and a linear motor for superior haptic feedback. All remaining details for the new Watch 6 are slated for an official reveal on October 23, 2025, in China, coinciding with the launch event for the K90 smartphone series.
