Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025

Samsung has quietly introduced an updated iteration of its premium smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch Ultra, for the year 2025. While retaining much of the robust foundation established by its 2024 predecessor, this new version brings a couple of significant enhancements designed to improve user experience and expand its health monitoring capabilities.

Enhanced Health Tracking: Antioxidant Index Measurement

One of the most notable advancements in the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra is the inclusion of a groundbreaking health feature: antioxidant index measurement. This innovative technology, also present in the concurrently launched Galaxy Watch 8 series, is designed to measure carotenoid levels in the user’s body. According to Samsung, this data can provide valuable insights into dietary health, allowing users to understand better and potentially optimize their nutritional intake. This marks a meaningful step forward in wearable health diagnostics, moving beyond conventional metrics to offer a more nuanced view of well-being.

Doubled Storage Capacity for More Freedom

Beyond its new health-tracking prowess, the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra boasts a substantial upgrade in internal storage. Where the 2024 model offered 32 GB, the new iteration effectively doubles this to a generous 64 GB. This expanded capacity provides users with more room for apps, music, and other data, enhancing the overall versatility and convenience of the device. Despite this storage boost, the smartwatch remains powered by the efficient Exynos W1000 processor and retains 2 GB of RAM, ensuring smooth performance and responsiveness.

Unchanged Core Specifications and Rugged Design

For those familiar with the 2024 model, many of the core specifications of the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra will feel familiar. The device still houses a sizable 590 mAh battery, capable of delivering up to an impressive 100 hours of runtime when in power-saving mode. True to its “Ultra” designation, it remains a highly durable and rugged wearable, featuring a 10 ATM water resistance rating and a resilient titanium chassis engineered to withstand the rigors of daily use and demanding environments.

Other prominent features carried over include a vibrant 1.5-inch display that boasts an incredible peak brightness of 3,000 nits, ensuring excellent readability even in direct sunlight. Users will also appreciate the convenient Quick Button for swift access to frequently used functions, along with dual-frequency GPS for highly accurate location tracking. The 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra is priced at €699 in the EU and will be available in a selection of sophisticated titanium finishes: Blue Titanium, Grey Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium.
