Amazfit has commenced the distribution of its latest firmware iteration, version 3.7.5.1, specifically tailored for owners of the robust T-Rex 3 smartwatch. This recent software enhancement introduces a duo of novel functionalities within the map application, alongside improvements concerning how notifications are handled. Furthermore, Amazfit highlights an optimized heart rate tracking mechanism for a specific type of physical activity.
Expanding Map Capabilities and Workout Insights

Following the recent Zepp OS 4.5 update in early March 2025, which brought enhancements like improved mapping, a dedicated Trail Running metric, and refinements to the Readiness analysis, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 is now receiving further enhancements. The new firmware version 3.7.5.1 builds upon these improvements, particularly focusing on the map experience. Users can now benefit from the display of mountain peak elevations during their outdoor workouts. Additionally, a new option allows for customization of the map’s orientation, offering a choice between a north-up view and a compass-oriented perspective.
Diving Deeper with New Activity Metrics and Always-On Enhancements
For enthusiasts of aquatic activities such as Outdoor Freediving, Indoor Freediving, and Spearfishing, this update introduces the valuable ability to monitor depth variations throughout their sessions. Another notable addition is the support for displaying status indicators directly on the Always-On Display (AOD) watch face, providing at-a-glance information. Moreover, the Notification Center now gains the capability to display CAPTCHA messages, and a convenient wrist rotation gesture has been implemented to allow users to expand notifications for easier viewing.
Performance Tweaks and Bug Fixes Address User Feedback
The official release notes indicate that the “Resume Later” feature for workouts has undergone optimization to enhance power efficiency during extended activities. Furthermore, the visual design of the workout status page has been refreshed for a more intuitive user experience. Notably, the accuracy of the heart rate measurement algorithm during swimming has reportedly been improved, a claim corroborated by user feedback on Reddit. In addition, a Facebook user has pointed out that a previously encountered issue related to the Cadence Assistant during outdoor activities has been resolved, restoring the intended vibration alerts.
Gradual Rollout Underway, Starting in the US
Currently, it appears that the firmware update version 3.7.5.1 is initially being deployed to users located in the United States. The timeline for the complete global rollout remains unspecified. Once the update becomes available in your region, it can be downloaded and installed through the Zepp application by navigating to the “Profile” section, selecting “Amazfit T-Rex 3,” and then choosing “System Update.”
