Amazfit is releasing a brand-new software update for three of its popular outdoor watches: the T-Rex 3, T-Rex 3 Pro, and T-Rex Ultra 2. This new firmware, version 6.2.204.6, brings handy features for swimmers and hikers, along with general fixes to make the watches run smoother.
What’s New in Version 6.2.104.6

Better Tracking for Pool Swimmers
Swimmers are getting a big upgrade with a new Manual Rest feature. When you turn this on, the watch tracks your active swimming laps and rest times separately. It even breaks down your swimming time by stroke type, giving you a much clearer look at your total workout.
-
How to turn it on: Go to Pool Swimming > Workout Settings > Back Button Settings > Manual Rest.
Keep Your Touchscreen Locked

If you worry about accidentally bumping your screen during intense workouts, there is a new solution. You can now lock the touchscreen for your entire exercise session so the watch only responds to physical buttons.
-
How to turn it on: Go to Workout > Workout Settings > Touch Lock > Always Lock.
Zoom and Move Your Maps
Navigating routes is now a lot easier. With the updated Route Preview feature, you can pan around and zoom in on maps both before you start moving and while you are on the go.
Fixes and Improvements
Alongside the new features, Amazfit tuned up a few existing tools:
-
Better Alarms: The alarm system is now smoother and easier to use.
-
General Stability: The update fixes several small bugs and helps the watch perform better overall.
How to Get the Update
Amazfit is releasing this software in stages. Some owners can download it right now, while others might need to wait a few days before it appears in their watch settings. Keep an eye on your companion app for a notification when it’s your turn.
