Amazfit is releasing a major software update for its popular line of rugged outdoor smartwatches. The new update, carrying version number 6.5.15.3, is currently rolling out to the T-Rex 3, T-Rex 3 Pro, and T-Rex Ultra 2. This release introduces several new tools alongside performance fixes and user interface improvements designed to make daily fitness tracking and navigation smoother.
New Map Navigation and Swim Drill Tracking

The headline addition in this update is enhanced map navigation. Watch owners can now initiate navigation directly from their saved Points of Interest (POIs) and view all saved locations clearly on the map screen. This makes finding landmarks and returning to saved spots much easier during outdoor trips.
Swimmers also gain a dedicated tool for tracking custom workouts in the pool. The update introduces a pool swimming drill feature that lets users manually mark the start and end of non-standard stroke drills, followed by entering the exact distance completed.
Improvements to Running and Workout Data
Amazfit has focused heavily on refining workout tracking accuracy with this software release. Runners will notice more accurate heart rate measurement during their runs, giving them more reliable data for training analysis. Additionally, the watch now automatically calibrates the Helio Strap Pro in the background during official HYROX Race and HYROX Simulation modes, excluding custom setup options.
To make workout metrics easier to understand, Amazfit has standardized heart rate zone names to a simple “Zones 1 to 5” system across all watch settings, workout screens, and activity charts. Watch owners do not need to worry about losing past workout records, as all existing heart rate data and personalized settings remain completely untouched.
Map features have received visual upgrades as well. The map scale and contour line displays are now noticeably clearer, and users can now customize and rename their map download tasks directly on the device.
Health Log Enhancements and Interface Redesign
Beyond sports tracking, the software refresh updates several daily health monitoring and interface tools. The LifeLoad system now includes a “Late Meal” event tag, customizable timing for the “Trouble Falling Asleep” feature, clearer ratings, and simpler overall options for regular daily use.
Navigating the watch user interface is also faster thanks to a total refresh of the Shortcut Cards screen. Customizing and editing cards is simpler, and Amazfit has added brand-new shortcut cards for Workouts and Apps, along with an upgraded Music control card.
Rollout Schedule and Availability
Amazfit is releasing firmware version 6.5.15.3 in stages rather than all at once. While some smartwatch owners have already received the update notification on their devices, others will see it roll out to their Zepp app over the next few days.
