Amazfit is releasing a new firmware update, version 3.2.8.3, for the Helio Strap. This update introduces a couple of notable features and optimizes existing functionality to improve the user experience.
Recovery Heart Rate and Device Restart

The update brings a new metric to your workout data: Recovery Heart Rate. This feature allows the Helio Strap to track how quickly your heart rate returns to normal after exercise, offering valuable insight into your cardiovascular fitness. To access this new metric, you’ll need to update your Zepp App to version 9.12.0 or later. Additionally, the new firmware adds a device restart function directly within the Zepp App, giving users a convenient way to reboot their Helio Strap without having to physically interact with the device. This feature also requires the latest Zepp App version.
Performance and Efficiency Improvements
Beyond the new features, the update focuses on optimizing the strap’s performance. It specifically addresses an issue with excessive calorie consumption, which should lead to more accurate battery life and calorie burn tracking. The update also includes other general feature optimizations to enhance the overall stability and reliability of the Helio Strap.
Phased Rollout
As with many firmware releases, this update is being rolled out in phases. While some users may have already received the notification to update their device, others may need to wait a few days for the update to become available. It’s recommended to check for updates within the Zepp App regularly.
