Huawei appears to be preparing for its next major smartwatch release. A new promotional image leaked on Chinese social media offers a first look at the upcoming Huawei Watch GT 7 and GT 7 Pro, showing off several color options and design details ahead of an expected official announcement.
A Launch Schedule That Fits the Pattern
If Huawei follows its usual release schedule, the Watch GT 7 lineup should arrive very soon. The company launched the Watch GT 5 in September 2024 and followed up with the Watch GT 6 in September 2025.
Based on this annual cycle, tech observers expect Huawei to unveil the GT 7 series within the next two months, likely in September.
Fresh Colors and Multiple Size Options

While the leaked image is low resolution, it reveals several details about what buyers can expect:
-
Huawei Watch GT 7: Expected to come in two distinct sizes. The watch case will feature a metal finish available in silver, gold, or black. Strap choices appear wide-ranging, including white, gray, black, yellow, blue, and pink.
-
Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro: The premium model will likely offer case colors in silver or black, paired with yellow, green, or black straps.
Although the image quality makes it hard to spot fine details, the overall design appears to stay true to the familiar circular look of previous generations.
What Upgrades Can We Expect?
The leak did not include hardware specifications, so exact technical changes remain unknown. However, the current Watch GT 6 Pro already set a high standard with its 3,000-nit AMOLED display, up to 24 days of battery life, built-in GPS, NFC support, ECG monitoring, and depth sensors for diving.
Fans will be watching closely to see if Huawei focuses on performance boosts, refined health sensors, or improved software features for this year’s iteration.
