Instead of relying on a single, all-or-nothing cloud sync switch, code discovered in the latest Zepp app update points toward separate toggles for different types of data.
Strings found within version 10.8.6 include specific options like “Sync Health Data to the Cloud,” “Sync Fitness Data to the Cloud,” and “Sync Profile Data to the Cloud,” alongside an overarching “Turn Off All Data Sync” master button. Additionally, the app features an activity component called EquipmentPrivacyRestrictedActivityshowing that developers are actively building user interfaces and access restrictions around these settings.

The underlying code outlines distinct boundaries for what information falls under these different buckets:

Another clear instance involves LifeLoad: if health data syncing is turned off, voice recordings captured by a watch cannot be sent to the cloud for server-side interpretation, which can also prevent LifeLoad events from feeding into HybridCharge.
What This Means for Users
While these changes are currently hidden deep inside development files and may change before a public rollout, they signal a welcome shift toward a more transparent, granular approach to wearable data management.
