Amazfit Balance

Recently, Amazfit released the roadmap for the launch of their next major update, and the exciting news here is that the Amazfit Balance watch will be receiving this update as well. It is quite refreshing to see a company sticking to its roots and supporting its older watches rather than making customers purchase a new one whenever they release a newer model.

New Hardware Support: Helio Strap and Stryd

The changelog seems to have gotten quite full this time around, but a couple of the notable new features is the Helio Strap compatibility, which will be a welcome upgrade for users wanting a bit more detailed information when it comes to their performance/recovery metrics.

On the side of those who want to get some power metrics for their running, it is nice to see support for native Stryd integration, which will make their lives quite a lot easier. They’ve also added BioCharge support to the list of supported devices, showing how serious they are about tracking advanced metrics.

Pro-Level Training Integration

For data nerds who like to spend all their time analyzing numbers in their spreadsheets and graphs, this software update is even more exciting, since now Amazfit is finally working seamlessly with TrainingPeaks and Intervals.icu.

This is a big step forward, since now you don’t have to use any third-party tools to upload your workout and recovery stats to the software platform of your choice, allowing you to take the full advantage of having your data analyzed on the go.

Keep an Eye on Your Wrist

With my appreciation for all the recent innovations from Amazfit, it is nice to see that the company is making efforts to ensure its products have an extended lifespan. The current firmware update is expected to be released to users’ devices in the coming days. Due to the phased nature of most updates, keep an eye on the Zepp app and your watch for when it becomes available.
