Is the Amazfit Falcon 2 Finally Coming? New Leaks Reveal a Potential Successor

Amazfit Falcon 2

The high-end rugged smartwatch market might soon see a new heavyweight contender. Recent discoveries within the Zepp Health ecosystem suggest that the long-awaited successor to the Amazfit Falcon is currently in development. After years of silence surrounding the premium sports line, “Falcon 2” has finally surfaced in the digital shadows.

Evidence Found in the Zepp Health App

The trail began with a deep dive into the latest Android APK for the Zepp Health app (version 10.0.8). Developers and tech enthusiasts spotted a specific string of code—SUPPORT_BIND_FALCON2025—hidden among the platform’s internal support flags.

These markers are essentially digital handshakes that allow the app to recognize and sync with specific hardware. Typically, these identifiers appear in the code weeks or months before a product is officially announced, as the software infrastructure must be in place before the first units reach consumers.

A Long-Overdue Update for the Falcon Series

When the original Amazfit Falcon launched in late 2022, it was hailed as a premium alternative to high-end Garmin and Suunto watches. It boasted a titanium unibody, sapphire glass, and impressive 20 ATM water resistance. However, while other Amazfit lines like the T-Rex and Cheetah have received frequent updates, the Falcon has remained stagnant for over three years.

The discovery of the “Falcon 2” reference suggests that Zepp Health hasn’t abandoned its elite tier. Interestingly, the “2025” suffix in the code raises questions about the timeline; it is possible the watch was originally slated for a last-year release but faced internal delays.

Other Devices On the Horizon

The Falcon 2 wasn’t the only name found in the registry. The code also listed several other codenames and upcoming models, including:

  • Cheetah 2: A follow-up to the brand’s runner-centric watch.

  • Internal Codenames: Identifiers such as “Cologne,” “Dublin,” and “Makalu” were also present, likely representing various prototypes or regional variants currently in testing.

Predicting the Release Window

Despite the excitement, a launch doesn’t appear to be imminent. For a smartwatch to go on sale, it must first pass through regulatory bodies like the FCC. Currently, there are no filings for a new Falcon model or the rumored Cheetah 2 Pro in any public databases.

Because these certifications usually precede a launch by several months, we are likely looking at a release window later in 2026. For now, the APK leak serves as the first “smoking gun” that the Falcon line is still alive and kicking.
