Amazfit is continuing to refine its flagship rugged wearable with the release of Firmware Version 4.4.2.3. This latest software deployment focuses on streamlining the user interface and enhancing data accuracy for outdoor adventurers and fitness enthusiasts alike.
While the T-Rex 3 is already known for its durability, this update aims to make the “brains” of the watch just as tough and reliable as its exterior.
Enhanced Connectivity for Indoor Cyclists

One of the standout features of this update is the improved integration for indoor training. When the T-Rex 3 is synced with external hardware—such as power meters, speed sensors, or cadence sensors—the watch will now automatically generate and display the corresponding data charts during the session. This removes the need for manual configuration, allowing athletes to focus entirely on their output.
Precision Mapping and Navigation Logic
Amazfit has tweaked how users interact with the Map app. You can now tap the SEL icon directly on the touchscreen from the map or workout track pages to jump straight into navigation settings. Additionally, the default map orientation has been set to “North Up,” providing a more traditional and consistent perspective for those navigating unfamiliar terrain.
Smarter Weather and Activity Tracking
Data integrity is a major theme in version 4.4.2.3. The Zepp App’s weather logic has been tightened; if the system cannot verify precise weather data for a workout’s starting point, it will omit the information rather than display potentially inaccurate stats. Furthermore, activity reminders have undergone a total overhaul. The trigger logic is now more intuitive, the notification text is clearer, and previous bugs causing “ghost” or faulty push notifications have been resolved.
Availability and Rolling Deployment
As is standard with Zepp Health updates, this firmware is being released in phased waves. If you don’t see the update notification immediately, don’t panic—it is currently reaching a small percentage of global users and will expand to the broader community over the coming days.
Change Log Summary:
- 1. When Indoor Cycling is connected to a speed sensor, power meter, or cadence sensor, corresponding data charts can now be displayed automatically during workouts.
- 2. Optimized the weather display logic in the Zepp App. If accurate weather data for the workout start location cannot be obtained, weather information will not be shown in the workout record.
- 3. The Map app and workout track pages now support tapping the SEL icon via touchscreen to quickly access navigation settings.
- 4. Updated the default navigation view in the Map app to “North Up.”
- 5. Optimized the “Activity” reminder mechanism and trigger logic, updated reminder messages, and fixed abnormal push notifications that could occur when the app was not fully initialized.
- 6. Fixed other known issues and further improved system stability.
