Recent leaks suggest that Amazfit is preparing to expand its rugged wearable lineup with a new, larger entry in the T-Rex series. While the brand recently released the T-Rex 3 Pro in 44 mm and 48 mm sizes, new evidence indicates a massive 51 mm version is on the horizon, potentially redefining the scale of their outdoor sports watches.
A Surprise Reveal via Brand Ambassadors
The first glimpse of this unreleased hardware came from a YouTube video posted by HYROX athlete and Amazfit ambassador Hunter McIntyre. During an unboxing segment, McIntyre showcased a device he labeled the “TRX Pro 51 mm.” By placing the new unit side-by-side with the existing 48 mm variant, the footage clearly illustrated a significant jump in physical footprint, catering to users who prefer a more substantial presence on the wrist.
Refined Design and Structural Changes
Beyond the sheer size, the 51 mm leak reveals several aesthetic and functional departures from the current T-Rex 3 Pro models. The bezel appears to have been slimmed down at the top and bottom, giving the watch a slightly more streamlined look despite its bulk.
Notably, the traditional button labels—such as “Select” and “Up”—have been moved from the outer bezel to an internal ring. This change, combined with the removal of the red arrow markers found on previous iterations, results in a cleaner, more industrial design. The watch also retains the integrated flashlight, a hallmark of Amazfit’s high-end rugged series.
Identity Confusion: T-Rex 3 Pro or T-Rex Ultra 2?
The leak has sparked some debate among tech enthusiasts regarding the product’s official naming. Interestingly, the design of the 51 mm watch matches images from a previous leak that had been attributed to a rumored “T-Rex Ultra 2.”
It is currently unclear if Amazfit plans to release two separate high-end models or if the earlier Ultra 2 rumors were actually referring to this larger T-Rex 3 Pro variant. This overlap suggests that Amazfit might be consolidating its premium rugged features into a single, oversized flagship.
Pricing and Availability Expectations
While Amazfit has yet to officially confirm the 51 mm model, its appearance in an ambassador’s video suggests a launch could be imminent. The current 44 mm and 48 mm T-Rex 3 Pro models are priced at $399.99. It remains to be seen whether this larger version will command a premium price tag or if Amazfit will maintain the $400 entry point across the entire Pro lineup. For now, outdoor enthusiasts will have to wait for an official announcement to see how this “giant” fits into the Zepp Health ecosystem.
