The rugged Amazfit T-Rex 3 is getting even more capable with its latest software release. Firmware version 4.5.3.3 is officially hitting devices, bringing a suite of enhancements specifically designed for divers, explorers, and long-distance athletes.

Expanding Underwater Horizons

The headline feature of this update is the addition of Recreational Diving to the watch’s already extensive list of supported sports. This inclusion solidifies the T-Rex 3 as a legitimate tool for underwater enthusiasts.

To ensure accuracy beneath the surface, Amazfit has also refined the depth algorithms for both Indoor and Outdoor Freediving. These tweaks specifically address the sensor’s performance when a workout is initiated while already submerged, and a previous bug involving depth chart glitches has been successfully patched.

Enhanced Navigation and Route Logic

For those who prefer to stay on dry land, the update introduces offline route planning. This allows users to map out their journeys without needing a constant data connection—a vital feature for deep-backcountry trekking.

The navigation experience itself is now smoother, thanks to an optimized turn-by-turn reminder page. These UI improvements ensure that directions are legible and timely, reducing the chances of a wrong turn when you’re focused on your pace.

System Stability and Vital Tracking

Behind the scenes, Amazfit has fine-tuned the BioCharge algorithm to provide more reliable health and recovery data. This update also addresses a critical stability bug: a crash issue that previously affected workout records during ultra-long outdoor activities. Endurance athletes can now record multi-day treks or ultramarathons with greater confidence that their data will be saved.

Global Rollout Schedule

As is standard with Amazfit releases, firmware 4.5.3.3 is being deployed in staged phases. While a portion of the user base has already received the notification to upgrade, others may need to wait a few days for the update to appear in the Zepp app.
