Amazfit has officially begun the rollout of its latest software enhancement, Firmware Version 3.4.0.3, specifically designed for the Amazfit Active Max smartwatch. This update focuses on expanding the device’s utility by introducing new applications and sports modes while refining the core navigation experience.
Expanded Entertainment and Fitness Tracking

The most notable addition in this version is the dedicated Podcast app support, allowing users to manage their favorite audio content directly from their wrist. On the fitness front, Amazfit is catering to a wider variety of athletes by introducing Hybrid Training and Pack Walking modes. These additions ensure more precise data tracking for users who mix training styles or prefer social, group-based walking exercises.
Precision Improvements and GPS Reliability
Beyond new features, the engineering team has focused heavily on the “Activities” interface. Users can expect a more fluid interaction when starting or reviewing workouts. Significant attention was also paid to the GPS performance, which has been calibrated to offer better stability and accuracy in challenging environments where signals might previously have flickered.
System Fluidity and Power Management
To make the watch feel faster and more responsive, the scrolling sensitivity for lists has been recalibrated, ensuring a “snappier” feel when browsing menus. Additionally, the update introduces a smarter Phone Notification (PHN) management system that kicks in when the battery is running low. This optimization helps preserve the remaining juice without completely cutting off the user’s connection to their smartphone.
Phased Global Rollout
As is standard with Amazfit releases, this firmware is being deployed in stages. While a segment of the user base has already reported receiving the 3.4.0.3 notification, others may need to wait a few days for the update to appear in the Zepp app. Users are encouraged to keep their app updated and check their device settings periodically to catch the download as soon as it becomes available in their region.
