Amazfit just announced a brand-new fitness wearable called the Helio Strap Pro. Instead of just tracking your wrist like a standard fitness band, this new device comes with a second sensor made specifically for your waist. Amazfit is launching this product to compete directly with other popular fitness trackers from brands like Fitbit, Polar, and Whoop.
A Two-Piece System for Better Accuracy

The biggest change with the Helio Strap Pro is how it collects data. The device uses two separate parts that work together to track your movement.
The main piece is the Helio Core Motion HR. You can wear this on your wrist like a regular tracker, or move it to your upper arm if you want more accurate readings during heavy exercise.
The second piece is the Helio Core Motion Waist. This is a special sensor that clips onto a belt around your waist. It tracks how your torso moves and keeps tabs on your body stability while you exercise.
Deep Tracking for Serious Athletes
Amazfit is targeting this system at people who take their workouts seriously. By using the wrist and waist sensors at the same time, the device does not just count your steps or check your heart rate. It can tell you how much stress you are putting on your muscles and evaluate the actual quality of your movements.
Even better, if you already own an Amazfit smartwatch—like the Balance 3 or the Balance Ultra—you can connect it to this new system. The device will combine the data from your watch and the new straps to give you a highly detailed picture of your health.
Ready for the Gym and the Pool

The Helio Strap Pro is built to handle tough workouts. It supports more than 60 different sports modes and has a water-resistance rating of 5 ATM, meaning you can safely take it for a swim.
Battery life is another strong point for this gadget. The main tracker on your wrist or arm can last up to 11 days on a single charge. Meanwhile, the waist sensor has incredible battery life, lasting up to 40 days before needing a plug.
When Can You Get It?
Amazfit plans to start selling the Helio Strap Pro in a few weeks. The company has not announced the official price tag just yet. However, when you buy the package, you will get the wristband, the charging cable, the special waist belt, and a clip to hold the sensor in place. Just like the older Helio models, you will not have to pay any monthly subscription fees to look at your data.
