Amazfit Officially Announces September Software Update with Major Navigation Upgrades

Amazfit has officially announced its latest software update, bringing a wide range of useful upgrades to many of the brand’s well-known smartwatches. While the company has just made the official announcement, eager users have actually already started receiving and installing the software since September.

This update focuses heavily on better navigation tools, clearer display options, and smarter tracking features for everyday health and sports.

Better Navigation and More Coordinate Formats

If you love hiking, running trails, or exploring the outdoors, this update brings great news. Amazfit has added support for seven new coordinate formats. You can easily find and change these options by going to Settings > Preferences > Coordinates on your watch.

Along with new coordinates, the navigation system now gives you more accurate turn alerts. It also includes extra waypoint types and custom icons to make finding your way much easier when you are off the grid.

Custom Display Options and Better Responsiveness

The update also lets you personalize how your watch looks and feels. There is a brand-new setting for your home screen where you can toggle the UI background blur on or off, depending on your style preference.

In addition, Amazfit improved the sensitivity of the Raise-to-Wake feature, meaning the screen will turn on more reliably when you lift your wrist to check the time or your stats.

Smarter Workouts and Health Tracking

Fitness fans will notice several helpful tweaks across different activities:

  • Workouts: The post-workout flow for the Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) has been improved to make logging how hard you worked much smoother.

  • Sports Profiles: Specific changes and optimizations have been made for pool swimming, strength training, and pickleball.

  • Cycle Tracking: The health tracking features have been updated to provide a smarter and more reliable cycle-tracking experience.

Which Watches Are Getting the Update?

This software update is rolling out to a large lineup of Amazfit’s recent smartwatches. The list of supported devices includes:

  • Active 3 Premium

  • Balance 3

  • Balance Ultra

  • T-Rex 3

  • T-Rex 3 Pro

  • T-Rex Ultra 2

  • Cheetah 2 Pro

  • Cheetah 2 Ultra
