Upgrade Your Wrist: Three New Mini Apps Released for Amazfit Smartwatches

0

The Zepp Mini App ecosystem is continuing to grow, offering users more ways to interact with their smartphones and track their hobbies directly from their wrists. According to a recent announcement on Discord, Zepp Health has launched three new applications and a major refresh of an existing security tool.

Remote Photography and Weather Tracking

One of the highlight additions is WristSnap, a utility designed to simplify mobile photography. This app acts as a remote shutter for your connected smartphone, making it easier to snap group photos or steady shots from a distance without touching your phone.

For those interested in environmental data, the new Barometer app provides real-time monitoring of atmospheric pressure. Beyond current readings, the app includes a logging feature that allows users to review pressure trends and data collected over the previous seven days, which can be particularly useful for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Sports Scoring and Security Updates

Fitness fans, specifically padel players, now have access to Padel Score Pro. This application is dedicated to tracking scores during matches directly on the watch face. Users should note, however, that while the app is available in the store, it does include optional in-app purchases for advanced features.

In addition to the new software, Zepp Health has rolled out a significant update to the Authenticator Mini App. This tool serves as a convenient wrist-based hub for 2FA (two-factor authentication) codes, supporting popular services like Google Authenticator, Aegis, and 2FAS. The app generates fresh codes every 30 seconds and is designed to function entirely offline, ensuring security isn’t compromised by a lack of internet connectivity.

Compatibility and Installation

These latest applications are available now through the Zepp App, which serves as the management hub for Amazfit devices on both iOS and Android. To install them, users can navigate to the “Mini App Store” section within the smartphone application.
