Amazfit is releasing a significant new firmware update, version 4.1.6.7, for its rugged flagship smartwatch, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro. This update introduces a host of new features, optimizations, and bug fixes aimed at enhancing the user experience, particularly concerning health monitoring, navigation, and overall performance.

Enhanced Health and Wellness Monitoring

The firmware update brings notable improvements to the watch’s health tracking capabilities. The BioCharge app sees two new dedicated pages: Wake BioCharge and Daily Events. These additions will provide users with more granular data and insights into their body’s recovery and daily energy levels.

Navigation and Diving Enhancements

For outdoor enthusiasts and divers, the update offers practical improvements. A new “Waiting for Descent” page has been integrated into the Recreational diving mode, streamlining the experience before a dive. Furthermore, the watch’s navigation has been made more robust with improved automatic route re-planning functionality, ensuring better course correction if a user deviates from the planned route. The Map app also benefits from a streamlined initialization interaction, making it quicker to start using.

Performance and Responsiveness Optimizations

General performance and daily usability have been fine-tuned. The update focuses on the responsiveness of core features, including optimizing wrist raise-to-wake responsiveness for both general use and during workouts. Additionally, the accuracy of real-time physical fitness status values during activities has been increased, providing users with more reliable metrics during their exercise sessions.

System Stability and User Experience Refinements

The new firmware includes several quality-of-life enhancements and stability fixes. The watch’s display and multimedia functions are improved: the auto-brightness adjustment has been enhanced for faster adaptation to changing ambient light, and multimedia playback will now automatically pause when the watch volume is set to 0. Crucially, the update addresses several underlying issues by fixing system crashes in specific scenarios to boost overall stability and resolves various other known issues.

Rollout Status and Availability

The deployment of the version 4.1.6.7 firmware update is being executed in phases. While some Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro owners have already begun receiving and installing the new software, other users should anticipate the update appearing on their devices over the next few days. Users should keep their Zepp app updated and check for available firmware to ensure they receive the update as soon as it becomes available to them.
