The Amazfit Active 3 Premium is getting a significant boost today as a brand-new firmware update, version 3.10.0.5, begins its global rollout. This release isn’t just about minor stability; it brings several meaningful refinements to navigation, health tracking, and the overall user interface.
If you’ve been looking for better precision during your outdoor adventures or more seamless data syncing, this update has plenty to offer. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect once the notification hits your wrist.
Enhanced Navigation and Map Precision

One of the standout features of this release is the massive overhaul of the navigation experience. Amazfit has focused on making route planning more intuitive while sharpening the accuracy of off-course alerts. If you frequently use turn-by-turn notifications, you’ll notice they are now much more timely, reducing the chance of a missed turn during a run or hike.
Additionally, for those who rely on topographic maps, the visual data has been given a boost. The system now supports more detailed terrain features, and the contour line precision has been improved, providing a much clearer picture of the elevation changes in your immediate environment.
Smarter Sleep Tracking and Health Integration
Health monitoring remains a core pillar of the Amazfit experience, and version 3.10.0.5 takes it a step further. I’m particularly pleased to see that the sleep algorithms have been refined. This should lead to higher accuracy in how the watch detects sleep stages and records your overnight rest data.
For the Apple users in the crowd, there is a long-awaited addition to the ecosystem: HRV (Heart Rate Variability) data can now be synced directly to Apple Health. This makes the Active 3 Premium a much more viable companion for those who want a unified view of their recovery metrics within the iOS Health app.
Improved Media Playback and System UI
Beyond the heavy-hitting features, there are several “quality of life” improvements bundled into this firmware. The music playback system has been optimized, specifically addressing regional restrictions that previously affected podcasts and local files in certain countries.
The User Interface (UI) has also received a polish. You’ll notice smoother notification prompts and updated “copywriting” throughout the system menus, making the text clearer and more professional. As expected, the update also includes a variety of miscellaneous bug fixes and performance optimizations to keep the OS snappy.
When Will You Get the Update?
As is standard with Amazfit releases, this firmware is being deployed in phases. While some users have already reported seeing the update notification in the Zepp app, others may need to wait a few more days.
To check if it’s available for your device, head into the Zepp App > Profile > My Devices > Amazfit Active 3 Premium > System Update. Make sure your watch has at least 50% battery before starting the installation!
