Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro Receives Major Feature Boost with Firmware 4.7.3.1

0

The Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro is getting a significant performance injection as Zepp Health begins the rollout of firmware version 4.7.3.1. This latest software iteration focuses on expanding hardware compatibility and refining the user interface for endurance athletes and gym-goers alike. This update introduces a more sophisticated data ecosystem, ensuring the rugged wearable remains a top contender for those who demand precision in their training metrics.

Enhanced Connectivity for Indoor Rowers

One of the standout additions in this update is the expanded capability for the Rowing Machine workout profile. The T-Rex 3 Pro can now interface directly with third-party rowing equipment via Bluetooth. This integration allows the watch to pull real-time metrics—including power output and distance—directly from the machine’s console, ensuring your indoor training data is as accurate as your outdoor excursions.

Advanced Metrics for Runners and Navigators

Trail runners and marathoners gain a sophisticated new tool with the introduction of segment-based equivalent pace data. Available for both Outdoor and Trail Run modes, this feature allows users to view their “Equivalent Pace” for either the current or previous segment. This metric is crucial for gauging effort on varying terrain, effectively “flattening” hills to show what your pace would be on level ground. Additionally, navigation has been made more accessible with a dedicated “Navigation” shortcut now embedded directly within the track page menu during active sessions.

Refined Power Management and Customization

Amazfit is also giving users more granular control over their device’s hardware. The Battery Manager has been upgraded to track the energy consumption of the physical LED flashlight, providing specific usage duration statistics so you can better manage your remaining charge. Furthermore, for those who prefer a cleaner aesthetic, a new display toggle has been added under the “Watch Face & Time” settings, allowing you to hide or show status indicators on your primary screen.

Optimized Workout Interactions and HIIT Durations

The user experience during high-intensity training has seen several quality-of-life improvements. When pausing or ending a workout, a new countdown prompt has been added to prevent accidental stops. For athletes engaging in AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) modes—including HIIT, HYROX, and Cross Training—the system now supports extended durations. Both training templates and the standard timer mode have been bumped up to support sessions lasting up to 99 minutes, catering to even the most grueling ultra-endurance workouts.

Phased Rollout Schedule

This firmware update is being distributed via a phased rollout strategy to ensure system stability. While a segment of the user base has already begun receiving the notification to update, the deployment will continue over several days. If the update is not yet available in your Zepp app, please remain patient, as it should reach all compatible devices shortly.
