Amazfit is currently deploying a fresh software enhancement for the rugged T-Rex 3, moving the system version to 4.4.1.3. This latest rollout isn’t just a routine maintenance patch; it introduces a brand-new entertainment feature alongside a comprehensive list of bug fixes designed to smooth the user experience during intense training sessions.

A New Way to Listen: The Podcast App

The most notable addition in this update is the dedicated Podcast app. Users can now sync their favorite episodes directly from the Zepp App to their smartwatch. This provides a “phone-free” listening experience, allowing you to catch up on your favorite shows through Bluetooth headphones while on a run or at the gym.

Precision Fixes for Strength and Rucking

Athletes will notice several critical corrections to workout tracking. A frustrating bug that caused distance to display as zero during Rucking activities has been resolved. Additionally, strength trainers will find that the muscle group highlights on pre-workout templates are now anatomically accurate, ensuring your training plan looks exactly as it should before you start your sets.

Smoother Navigation and Enhanced UI

If you’ve experienced “page stuttering” or UI lag, this update is for you. Amazfit has optimized the interface to eliminate frame-rate drops in specific menus and fixed the lag previously found when selecting lanes in the Track Run mode. The workout start pages have also been polished to ensure all data displays correctly across every sport type.

Reliable Navigation and Route Planning

For the explorers, the update stabilizes the “Return to Start” functionality, making it more reliable when navigating back to your home base. The developers also addressed “abnormal behaviors” that occurred when users attempted to re-plan their routes mid-workout, ensuring the GPS guidance remains consistent even if you change your mind halfway through your trek.

Note on Availability: The firmware is being released in phased batches. If you don’t see the update in your Zepp App today, don’t worry—it should reach all global devices within the next few days.
