Amazfit has started rolling out a fresh software update for the Amazfit Helio Strap. The new firmware, officially labeled as version 3.18.0.1, focuses on cleaning up your fitness data and making your health stats much more reliable.

The biggest fix tackles a frustrating issue that caused duplicate data. Previously, if you wore both an Amazfit smartwatch and the Helio Strap during a workout, the system would often record the same exercise twice. With this update, the strap is now smart enough to step back when your watch is already tracking a session, keeping your fitness history clean and accurate.

More Accurate Heart Rate Stats

Beyond fixing the workout clutter, Amazfit tweaked the internal math that measures your pulse. The company says the strap’s heart rate monitoring algorithm has been optimized.

In plain English, this means the fabric band should be much better at reading your true heart rate during intense movements or quiet rest periods. The update also patches up a few other minor, unnamed bugs to make the overall tracking experience smoother.

When Will You Get the Update?

If you check your Zepp app right now and don’t see the update available, there is no need to worry. Amazfit is releasing this software in phases.

A small group of users has already started receiving the download, while everyone else will get access over the next few days. Keep an eye on your phone’s notifications—the app will let you know as soon as the new version is ready for your strap.
