Amazfit Helio Strap 2 Is Coming Soon: Spotted in FCC Database

A new leak has revealed that Zepp Health is preparing to launch the next generation of its dedicated fitness tracker. The team at WearableFans has spotted the upcoming Amazfit Helio Strap 2 inside the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulatory database.

The official regulatory paperwork showcases two distinct model numbers for the unannounced device: A2671 and A2672.

Because FCC testing is usually one of the final steps before a consumer electronics product goes on sale, the discovery suggests an official retail release is highly imminent.

Screenless Design and Hardware Layout

The documentation officially classifies the new hardware as a “Smart Sensor.” This specific wording confirms that the Helio Strap 2 will follow the design philosophy of its predecessor, operating entirely without a display screen or touchscreen panel.

The regulatory line drawings show a compact, rectangular tracking pod featuring heavily rounded corners. The blueprint of the back casing reveals a prominent circular optical heart rate sensor positioned directly in the center. Right next to the sensor are two small metallic contact pins, which will be used to connect the device to its magnetic charging cradle.

Core Technical Specifications

While the external shape remains highly compact, the internal technical test sheets provide a clear picture of the device’s hardware capabilities:

  • Battery Capacity: The sensor is equipped with a 230mAh battery. This matches the battery size of the original model, pointing to a similar runtime between charges.

  • Wireless Connectivity: The device uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to sync biometric data to smartphones. The testing reports show no active hardware components for standalone GPS or Wi-Fi connectivity.

  • Water Protection: The housing is rated for 5 ATM water resistance, meaning the tracker can withstand water pressure equivalent to a depth of 50 meters, making it safe for swimming.

Analyzing the Dual Model Numbers

The existence of two separate model numbers (A2671 and A2672) typically indicates that Zepp Health is planning to launch the product in multiple configurations.

This usually happens for two reasons. The company might be launching the sensor pod in two different physical sizes to better fit different arm or chest straps. Alternatively, the two numbers could simply represent minor internal wireless variations required for different international markets.

Expected Release Timeline

Tech companies rarely submit finished hardware to the FCC until they are completely ready to ship the product to retail warehouses. Filing too early risks exposing unannounced designs to competitors.

With these official certification documents now fully live and approved, an official global announcement for the Amazfit Helio Strap 2 is expected to arrive within the next few weeks.
