Amazfit has released a new software update for the Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra smartwatch. The new update, version 6.5.15.3, adds several new features and helpful fixes to make tracking workouts and navigating easier.
Better Maps and Swim Tracking
This update adds useful new tools for outdoor lovers and swimmers. You can now start route navigation directly from points of interest (POIs) and view your saved spots right on the map.
For pool swimmers, the watch now includes a technical swimming mode. This lets you manually log drill practice—such as non-standard strokes—and type in the distance you completed.
Smarter Workouts and Health Tools
Amazfit focused heavily on fine-tuning daily tracking features in this release:
-
Better Heart Rate Readings: Running workouts now deliver more accurate heart rate measurements.
-
Upgraded Maps: Topographical contour lines and map scale displays are much clearer to read.
-
Helio Strap Pro Calibration: If you use the Helio Strap Pro, it now auto-calibrates in the background during official HYROX Race and HYROX Simulation modes.
-
Daily Life Data: Tracking your daily load is simpler, featuring a new “late meal” tag, customizable sleep-onset times, and clearer ratings.
Interface Tweaks and Standardized Zones
Navigating your watch is smoother thanks to an upgraded shortcut card screen. You can now customize your shortcut cards more easily, use new workout shortcuts, and enjoy a cleaner music control card.
Additionally, heart rate zones are now labeled simply as “Zones 1 to 5” across all watch menus and activity graphs. This change makes your data easier to understand without altering any of your existing metrics or saved settings. Users can also rename their map download files for better organization.
How to Get the Update
Amazfit is releasing update 6.5.15.3 in stages. A small group of users has already received the download notification, while others will see it land on their watch over the next few days.
