Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 receives major firmware update 6.0.0.213: New features & Optimizations

Huawei has officially commenced the rollout of firmware version 6.0.0.213 for the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2. This latest software iteration brings a significant suite of feature additions and system refinements, aimed at bolstering both the professional capabilities and daily utility of the wearable.

Professional Cycling and Mobility Advancements

The core of this update focuses on high-level activity tracking. For cycling enthusiasts, the watch now supports real-time virtual cadence tracking and 3D distance compensation, providing a more granular look at performance data. Furthermore, users can now select specific bike types, ensuring that metrics are tailored to their equipment.

In a notable move toward inclusivity, Huawei has integrated a dedicated wheelchair mode. Users can now monitor their movement patterns by navigating to Activity Logs and accessing the Activity Ring Settings. It is important to note that this functionality is currently region-dependent and may not be available in all markets at this time.

Remote Functionality and Streamlined Experience

Beyond physical activity, the firmware update enhances the synergy between the smartwatch and the user’s smartphone. Owners of compatible Android devices will now gain access to remote shutter control, enabling easier group photos and steadier long-exposure shots directly from their wrist.

Refined Winter Sports and System Stability

Winter sports enthusiasts will find improved feedback when hitting the slopes. The updated software now tracks and records maximum and average speed, as well as the gradient and total descent during skiing sessions. These metrics are designed to help athletes maintain consistent pacing and analyze their performance post-run. In addition to these specific features, Huawei has implemented general optimizations to improve overall system stability, ensuring a smoother, more reliable user interface across all scenarios.

Phased Rollout Process

Please note that this update is being released in phases. While some users may have already begun to receive the update on their devices, others may need to wait a few days for the software to reach their specific region and model batch.
